Be Grateful and Thankful
Sometimes we’ve all got up struggling in our lives and just forget to be grateful and thankful for what we have. We wait to say thank you until the right moment arrives. For some it takes a special day to say thank you or feel any kind of gratitude.
How about give thanks for the circles around you. Be grateful and Thankful to those that surround you.
In this post I’ll share something I’ve learned and read from Leadership Coach Lolly Daskal.
There are people that have everything they need to be happy for, but what they feel is emptiness and they constantly working on filling those.
Others have very little things and terrible things might have happened in their life. Yet those people feel rich and content and living a happy life.
Then what seems to be the difference?
It’s all about the circles they draw around themselves where lies the secret. Instead of chasing for fulfillment from the outside, those who feel content and rich, are seeking closer to home. Here they focus on their desires and gratitude, within the circles that surround them.
Take a moment for yourself and think grateful about the circles that embraces YOU.
Which circles below will you give thanks to and feel gratitude?
Be Grateful and Thankful to: YOU, the innermost circle.
You are important. So start with being grateful and thankful to yourself. You are the one that made it through tough times, mistakes, failures. Faced setbacks, dark days and rejections. Some might think you should show gratitude towards others first, but I do encourage you to start being thankful closest to home, and that’s you. Acknowledge your power and strengths. Be proud of your achievements and celebrate. No matter how small they are. You did it, so be thankful for yourself.
Be Grateful and Thankful to: Your partner, spouse, best friend, lover circle.
Most people crave to be with another, because we enjoy partnerships. There could be one person in your life whom stand all above the rest. It feels great to have someone in your life that knows all about you inside and out. Is happy to spend time with you and appreciates you for who you are. Let that person know how much you appreciate them today and show them gratitude. Having a partner like this, is a wonderful gift that you must and should cherish.
Be Grateful and Thankful to: Your work and social circle.
Not a day passes by that you are surrounded by familiar faces. Employees, co-workers, casual friends and so on. They are probably not the most closest to you, but they are a part of your daily life. You may not realize, but those people are also important to your happiness. Because they might be closer to your hart than you think, make it a point to give thanks for those people as well.
Just make it a habit and don’t wait for a special occasion to express your gratitude to those within the circles you draw around yourself. You will be surprised which effect this will have on your own feeling of happiness.
Be grateful and thankful. Honor yourself, appreciate your partner, be grateful for your family and friends. Those are the people who make the difference in your own life. Those are the ones who keep you from living in the void.“A thankful heart is contagious, but you don’t have to wait to catch it from others.” @lollydaskal Click To Tweet
